The analyst exited their position in IREN, harvesting tax losses, and took profits early on INTC, moving into a faster growth opportunity.
Cutting losses on IREN to harvest tax loss and taking profits early on INTC to dampen tax impact, moving into a faster horse (better opportunity).
Great post mordem. All the great lessons from Peter lynch and Warren buffett .. Cut losers early and let winners ride.; circle of competence. The more i read about battery business, the more i was convinced it was an extremely complex industry not very well represented in the public equity. Many of the players are hidden under industrialists umbrellas. Similar experience with $iren but i cut off not early but not late. I was able to harvest tax loss and move into $intc and let me take profit early with harvest to dampen. When i ran the math on tax harvest, it was a no brainer move for me to jump on the faster horse.
